چکیده

This article is a critical interdisciplinary study of biohacking as specific case transhumanism and its goals enhancement age intervention. It focuses on the organising principles underlying movement's relationship to ageing technoscience. The argument traces how historical scientific body technologies molecularisation, functional age, optimisation, quantification made possible vision amenable modification, improvement beyond natural limits. Conclusions consider wider implications by pointing out four important issues that frame our cultural ambivalence about ageing: tension between biohacking's supposedly liberating their obeisance tyranny self-disciplinary practices authority bio-data; social meaning hierarchies human value, based modifiable fitness enhanceable performance; program for gendered ageism; ethical limits biohacking, not only in terms potential harms person but what it can mean exceed life.
